Vision Source: Your Partner in Giving Your Child a Clearer Vision

Here at Vision Source Optical Perspectives, we do whatever it takes to protect the vision of parents and their children. Dr. Sara Myers is an active member of the InfantSEE® Program that provides free eye health and vision exams to infants aged six to 12 months. As a participating practice in this program, it has been our goal to monitor and help advance your child’s visual development, making sure that he or she is ready to face the world with a bright and clear vision.
What is InfantSEE®?
InfantSEE® is a public health program created by the American Optometric Association (AOA) in collaboration with The Vision Care Institute of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. It was established to make sure that vision and eye care becomes and remains an essential part of infant wellness care, leading to the improvement of a child’s quality of life.

InfantSEE®: The Assessment
Visual acuity or clarity can be measured even before a child recognizes shapes or letters. By the time a child reaches six months of age, a number of significant visual developmental milestones are expected to already be achieved, making it the perfect time to have your baby undergo his or her first eye examination.
Vision Source Optical Perspectives will perform comprehensive eye exams that will evaluate the following areas:
● Visual acuity or clarity of sight
● Eye movements, teaming, and alignment, including refractive status
● Overall physical health of the eyes
Through these assessments, we will be able to detect any problems that may hinder your child’s visual development.
